‘TOE JAM’
FEATURING DAVID BYRNE and DIZZEE RASCAL
RELEASED: 7th July – Digital Release

Shrouded in mystery, the Brighton Port Authority has long been rumoured to exist but until now there has been little evidence of the legendary collective.  Found recently in a dusty cardboard box during the development of a Brighton dockside warehouse, a collection of old reel-to-reel tapes have proved to be the Holy Grail for the few who always insisted that the elusive BPA was not a figment of overactive imaginations.

Taken from the unearthed tapes and digitally remastered, ‘Toe Jam’, the first cast-iron proof of the Brighton Port Authority will be released on the 7th of July. Obviously featuring vocal contributions from David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal, although both men are less than forthcoming when questioned on their involvement, ‘Toe Jam’ is a horn driven showstopper. Like a heat wave distilled into three-and-a-half minutes of flawless pop, the loose-limbed funk oozes from the double-bass riff as the collective getting busy with the Caribbean grooves.

The world video exclusive on MySpace received in excess of 30,000 views in 2 days and the TV exclusive will air on MTV next week!

A summer sizzler rescued from the archives of the forgotten clan, this is the first assault from The Brighton Port Authority. With the lost tapes now in the open expect much more from the South Coast collective in the coming months.
