Prok & Fitch nailed two of Clublands biggest remixes in 2008 with their re-rubs of Cevin Fishers “Burning Up” and “Freaks Come Out.” Having won the respect of the clubland veteran, Cevin agreed to provide the vocals for the next Prok & Fitch smashdown so “Mundo” was created.
“Mundo” is the sound of the Floorplay label hitting it’s stride. One year old and 12 releases in, you can see Prok & Fitch have been busy. With a growing reputation on the global house scene through big sets for Roger Sanchez at his Miami & ADE Stealth parties, the lads can also now call on the hottest names in dance music to remix their releases.
On “Mundo” the on-fire, David Penn, provides a tough melodic house mix ably supported by Flamingo Records Patric La Funk and hot newcomer DJ Wady (currently topping the Buzz Chart with his mix of The Face classic, “Needin U”). The Prok & Fitch’s Original mix is pure jacking peak time house music, tried and tested at their monthly Floorplay Brighton residency.
“Mundo” is the latest instalment in a run of big summer tunes for Floorplay – the track preceding it “Red Light” was a collaboration with DJ Disciple and is currently carving it’s way up the Beatport Charts. Next up is Filthy Rich’s take on the classic “Luvstruck” and expect to hear these Floorplay bangers sizzing all summer long.
