Description:
Now known as the Relentless Garage after a recent refurb, this gritty music venue in Islington is everything a music venue should be, with a low ceiling, great sound system, about six inches separating the band from the mosh pit, and a music policy that takes in all the best established and up-and-coming bands in the country.

Remember The Brownies..? Sweet, innocent and well behaved... Always lending hand.. Bless 'em.
Here at Bangers & Mash we heard whispers of Secret Splinter Group of Brownies who are "lending a hand" in their own way, tearing up the London scene with wild "pow-wow" parties. These involve the most "un-brownieish" (is that a word..? It is now!) duties of dancing, drinking, rude games, loud music, snogging and mischief! These sounded like our type of Brownie's!

We managed to secure a top secret meeting with the little scallywags, and are pleased to announce that as of Feb 13th they will be taking over Bangers & Mash and creating all kinds of havoc! If you would like to join in the fun and games - make your way to the Garage on Highbury Corner where you will be greeted by Brown Owl on the front door, she will be checking you all out and making sure no goody goodies are sneaking into the party.

You will experience all the usual fun and amazing music (both live and DJ sets) you have come to expect from Bangers & Mash but with a few exciting extras - The Brownie's will be on hand all night making sure you are all misbehaving and will have all kinds of giveaways and fun for you all so look out for them! The mischievous rascals will also be on stage to cajole you into the large scale games we'll all be playing such as "Blind Date Speed Date" hosted by Cilla Cack (she's like Cilla Black but.. Well, cack!) and "Bajingo Bingo" (Google Banjingo if you're not in the know on that one!) which involves rude words instead of boring old numbers and cue lots of giggling. Bajingo Bingo will be hosted by naughtiest Brownie out of the bunch.. Expelled from the real Brownie's for smoking, swearing and selling dodgy DVD's, she's more Sid Vicious than Shirley Temple - that's for sure! There will be absolutely AMAZING prizes to be won for everybody so make sure you get involved! We''ll also be giving you a chance to join "The Renegade Brownie Club" but like normal Brownie's you'll have to earn those badges but they wont be the normal tasks as you can imagine! As well as all of this, we'll be running a tuck shop all night selling old skool retro sweets to really get you really hyperactive! Basically... It doesn't get much more nostalgic than this.. The only question left is are you naughty enough to join us?

Dress is ‘Express yourself!’ / Concessions list £5 all night melissa@bangersandmashme.com before 5pm Saturday, tables can be booked for free for 10+ The Garage, Highbury Corner, N5 (opposite Highbury & Islington tube) / 10pm-4am
