- The Magnet is situated in one of Liverpool’s famous Georgian buildings in the architecturally rich area of the City known as the Cultural Quarter.
It’s a night that is often dreamed of but rarely imagined, a party which in the revered tones of those in the know is discussed, analysed and ruminated over late at night but all knowing little chance of it ever actually happening.
Until now.
For the very musical foundations upon which Chibuku was built long ago remain the same – Wandy and Luke Carr. The two original residents used to play almost every Lemon Lounge session when the club was in its infancy and as it evolved through the Barfly and Nation – but these days the almost pair never DJ together.
These two party exponents have long since developed their own sound styles but the music which helped shape Chibuku from an idea into reality remains the essentially timeless and cherished – deep house and French house, disco funk and raw, blistering techno excursions; for anyone wishing to indulge in the past for one night then this is it and Wandy and Luke exclusively entertain in the Main Room for 6 hours solid. It promises to be special.
Over in the Fishtank, local lads Dash and Tony S will be genre-crossing and sub-genre splicing ensuring the other half of The Magnet is rocking.
